Interest Groups Overview

The core curriculum of the Molecular Biology Program provides an academic foundation in the subjects that are essential for all fields of study within the life sciences.  The core curriculum is completed in the first year of graduate study.

As students progress toward their degree, they develop individual research training programs.  Interest Groups within the Molecular Biology Program facilitate this educational objective.  Interest groups comprise communities of University of Utah students and faculty with shared research interests and goals.  Interest Group faculty offer elective courses, seminars, and journal clubs to advanced students.

We invite you to visit our Interest Group web pages, either by choosing from the links below or from the menu at the left.  Information provided on these pages will allow you to view the research of participating faculty.  Additional information may be obtained by contacting Interest Group leaders.
