The Bioscience PhD Programs provides a cross-disciplinary, collaborative training environment that enables students to experience a wide-ranging selection of research opportunities representing nine departments at the University of Utah. The program houses the Molecular Biology and Biological Chemistry programs. Each program is distinct in its core curriculum and requirements ( Program Comparison). The programs allow students to experience a broad scientific education, yet tailor their training to their specific interests. Students will participate in cutting-edge research mentored by world-class scientists. In addition, the programs provide the thorough training necessary to become a creative and analytical thinker essential of a successful career in science.
